Goals
The goals for this project are to:
- Identify key barriers and supports to telework for AAC users.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of a model telework demonstration project in conjunction with industry and government partners.
- Investigate the impact of web-based resource materials on the willingness of employers to hire individuals who use AAC.
Progress to Date
To date we have completed the following task on this project:
- We have gathered information from individuals who use AAC and are participating in telework employment activities.
- We have identified key benefits, drawbacks, supports, and barriers to telework activities.
Next Steps
The next steps on this projects are as follows
- Continue to gather information on key supports to telework in partnership with individuals who use AAC and business partners.
- Investigate the impact of web-based resource materials on the willingness of employers to hire individuals who use AAC.
